Our design processes require intelligent, creative minds and involve high-tech work from the idea to the finished product. The initial prototypes are created using a 3D printer and have life gradually breathed into them by our designers and engineers. ‘Innovation’ means bouncing ideas around and continually developing products and processes. New hansgrohe products fulfil the highest quality and performance standards. And there is one thing that they are definitely not: one-hit wonders, as they outlast passing trends, making them reliable investments for our customers.
Design first hit our bathrooms in the colourful 1970s – and the dream team of PHOENIX and hansgrohe played its part in this transformation. Since then, PHOENIX has designed all key products for the premium brand hansgrohe. We collaboratively develop leading design for the bathroom, giving our all to create products that are both technologically and visually durable – and for people who want to enjoy and love these stylish objects.
PHOENIX is an integral part of German design history and one of the world’s leading independent studios for product and interface design. Whether shower systems or service robots, everything PHOENIX designs offers durable functionality and brings lasting joy. The Stuttgart studio focuses on modern, clean lines and adds an emotive element to everyday objects to make them more desirable. The high flyers for design frequently succeed in striking a balance between functionality and magic.
As a design and innovation leader in the bathroom sector, the Hansgrohe Group has won over 800 awards from international design contests over the past few decades. These include the iF DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned trademark of outstanding design. In 2025, the coveted award was bestowed upon ten bathroom products and ranges from the premium brand hansgrohe. The iF GOLD AWARD is the top award from the International Forum Design. This trophy for veritable design works of art was received by our Raindance Alive and Avalegra ranges in 2025.

* An integrated flow limiter enables a more responsible use of water and energy – without impeding on enjoyment. In the shower, for example, EcoSmart reduces water consumption to max. 8 l/min while EcoSmart+ cuts it down even further to max. 6 l/min.
