Exposed and concealed installation faucets

What is the difference between exposed installation and concealed installation bath tub faucets?

Exposed installation bath tub taps are ideal if there are already connections in place. These taps are designed to be installed quickly and easily – a practical solution for quick replacements. The elegant and towering freestanding taps by the bath tub is an exposed installation design highlight. It can be installed on the floor behind or next to the bath tub. Please hire a plumber to do this work. The same goes for concealed installation bath tub taps, which have a harmonious look as the technology vanishes within the wall. These flush installations are a good choice if you value minimalist design and seamless integration in your bathroom.

What should I do if water is leaking at the diverter on my concealed tap?

Please clean the diverter’s pull rod and O-ring and lubricate them with silicone grease. This will help the O-ring to slide and provide additional sealing. If the problem persists, please replace the diverter. You can find more information in the online Spare Parts Shop.

My exposed installation tap is leaking at the connections. What’s causing it?

Before installing the tap, please make sure that the S-connections – to compensate for different dimensions – are installed without tension and that the specified installation dimensions have been observed. Using the original seals is mandatory. Any damaged seals need to be replaced.

Can I upgrade older concealed installation tap to a new design?

There are several ways to upgrade older concealed taps to a new design. For example, you can fit concealed installation shower taps with a modern ceramic tap system using the conversion kit 96384000. Based on the design, you can then mount a contemporary handle on the tap.
